I conceived of this show following my experiences as a member of the “Listen to your Mother” production last May. That entire experience reminded me that storytelling is such a profound way to communicate with one another. There is the undeniable benefit of a live audience. Without sounding too woo-woo, the give and take in those kinds of performances is palpable. It’s a lovely thing to feel that unique exchange going on, no matter which side of the stage you are on.
It seemed only natural that something as profound as ‘wisdom’ would lend itself to a similar format and my idea was born.
So, if you live in this area, or would be willing to travel here, please consider submitting your pearl of wisdom. (You’ll find instructions and other information in my column.) I think this is going to be an interesting and engaging process, not to mention a really fun show … but it won’t happen without you!
