I think it’s safe to say that energy, or lack thereof, is one of those commodities that age begins to slowly steal away from us. Oh, it’s a very subtle process but still, there is no denying that the older you get, the less energy you have.
As I write this, I’m a few days ahead of a what I anticipate to be a truly amazing weekend. In one, brief 48 hour period, I’ll host two performances of the show I produced, “Wisdom in the Spotlight.” And on the Saturday night in between these two shows? I’ll be performing with many of my friends, as we sing our way through oldies but goodies at a concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of our women’s singing ensemble.
I’m old enough to know that Monday morning, after this very satisfying weekend, I will be inclined to stay in my pajamas and do nothing. While I don’t expect to be entirely leveled out, planning to take a morning off sounds like a good thing.
I also know that my fatigue will be sweet. What’s better than exhaustion from a life full of doing the things you love?
See you after I recover!
