Something very big is happening in Trinidad, California, a little seaside village north of my home. They are finally opening the doors to their new public library! It’s taken the community 14 years to raise the $450,000 needed to build a permanent library. I think it’s worth nothing that these good people have not used any state or federal money for their project. Nope, this glorious success is the product of this community’s energy, creativity, generosity, and belief in the value of having a central place for people to gather and read!
Congratulations!
