I have been having such fun since my book, Duck Pond Epiphany, was picked up for publication. There have been so many details to check off before the launch in another couple of months but we are nearly there.
What I have particularly enjoyed about this current process is how much I have been learning. While I have years of writing columns and non-fiction under my belt, the world of fiction is a bit of a new ballgame. I love it that my brain is engaging in new challenges, different questions.
Sure, I get frustrated at times, but that just makes me hunker down even more to solve whatever particular problem sits in my path. But here’s one of the best parts of all of this – I appreciate being ‘old enough’ to realize that it’s pointless to just keep beating my head against the wall until I find a solution … like I might have done in yesteryear!
No, age has taught me that wisdom means knowing when, and how to ask for assistance. It’s worth it, don’t you think?
