During a recent weekend in Ashland, Oregon, my husband and I took a long walk around a beautiful little neighborhood. Evidence of spring was everywhere. Trees were bursting with blossoms. Endless shades of green and explosions of color could be spotted in nearly every garden.
But what really grabbed by attention were two kids and their corner lemonade stand. How wonderful to know that there are still children with the enthusiasm for some Saturday work experience and a neighborhood safe enough to allow hard working kids the opportunity to feed their piggy banks.
Good news, to be sure.
