I strongly believe that involvement in music helped guide each of our three children to the success they now enjoy as adults. So it’s only natural that I would be drawn to a story about bringing music to kids, especially one as inspiring as this.
World class violinist, David France took to the subways of Boston. Appreciative commuters dropped money into his hat. France used this money to begin ‘Revolution of Hope,” an after school orchestra for the children of one of Boston’s most disenfranchised neighborhoods. Thanks to the generosity of additional sponsors, Revolution is booming! It’s worth noting that these kids practice three hours a day, five days a week. Obviously, they are learning more than music!
Hats off to Mr. France, his co-sponsors, and to everyone who recognize the multi-layered value of musical training.
