Yoga After Fifty

I finally made the time to return to yoga and now I wonder why it took me so long. For those of you who might think of this practice along the lines of “mumbo jumbo,” (admit it, I know you’re out there) think again! Within the first few minutes, I began to recall how calming and soothing yoga is. I stretch, strengthen, and improve my balance. How could this not be beneficial for a 60 year old? But I think part of what I appreciate the most is having an entire 90 minutes to stop everything and essentially, be still. And that is one of the joys of this phase of life – time to do what I want.
